Where Nordic architecture meets untamed nature.

Welcome to The Wave — a modern villa designed for nature lovers, design seekers, and those drawn to a slower rhythm of life. Perched between sea and sky on Norway’s wild west coast, this one-of-a-kind retreat invites you to reconnect with what matters most: space, stillness, and the raw beauty of nature.

Completed in 2004 and thoughtfully upgraded since, the 285 m² residence is a true Nordic masterpiece. Poured-in-place concrete meets handcrafted details — like a custom kitchen by Hamran and curated interiors by Bulthaup, Boffi, and Dinesen — creating an atmosphere of refined simplicity and quiet luxury.

Framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, every room opens to the elements: sweeping dunes, rugged heath, and the ever-changing North Sea light. Oval windows and sliding glass doors draw nature into the bedrooms, while a soaring 3.9-meter ceiling defines the sunken living area, complete with a fireplace and uninterrupted sea views.

Set on nearly five private acres, part of which lies within a protected nature reserve, The Wave offers total seclusion without sacrificing accessibility. A short stone path leads you to a hidden lagoon and one of Norway’s best surfing beaches — a peaceful, near-private stretch where the sea feels like yours alone.
